Today was the first day we have gotten groceries since we got back from Thanksgiving in Nebraska. When we left for Nebraska we had a pretty bare fridge and a pretty bare pantry.
Well, it never seemed like we had time to get groceries when we got home, so we decided to make due with what we had. It was kind of a fun little game. :) We did stop and get a few necessities like milk, eggs and fruit, but other than that, we really didn't get anything. (I will have to say we did get take-out a few times.)
Anyway, it was amazing what I came up with for meals with "nothing" in my pantry or fridge! I think everyone should do that every now and then to really get rid of stuff!
Today we decided we had to end our 'no groceries' time because now we really didn't have anything to make meals with. Since our fridge was pretty much empty now, I decided this was a great time to deep clean the fridge. (You can really see how dirty it is when there's nothing in there!) :)
The kids thought it was a pretty fun game to play in the empty fridge!

And then they wanted the door closed.
A little fun screaming ensued while the door was closed and it was dark, and then we opened the door to lots of giggles. Joey is asking to do it one more time!
Then it was daddy's turn! Big man in a little fridge...
We now have a clean fridge full of food!
