last days of school

Norah graduated preschool and will officially be going to Kindergarten next year. It's kind of really hard to believe all my babies will be in school in the fall...

She was an adorable preschool graduate, though.

 

This was her favorite preschool teacher, Miss Sara. Norah even wanted to have a side braid and hat every day to look just like Miss Sara.

Norah got the Miss Manners award!

The big kids wrapped up their school year too with a few fun days. They had field day and a few field trips towards the end of school.

Kylah and her friend Jane were getting sno cones outside school.

 

Kylah got to have a playdate after the last day of school with her 3 little best friends in her class: Valentina, Elle and Grayson.

Joey and Marin were enjoying field day as well. Go Royals!

Joey went on a field trip with his class to the local safari.

He loved that he was petting a joey. :)

We had an award ceremony the last day of school.

Joey and Kylah both made the all-A honor roll for getting all A's all year long. We are so proud of them!

We are ready for summer to begin!!

Summer begins

The kids got out of school for the summer on Thursday. We had our first big summer adventure on Friday with a 13 mile bike ride! We stopped halfway at Dunkin Donuts for a break and a treat. This was both Norah's and Kylah's first time to make this long bike ride, and except for the rain on the way home they did great!

Joey got up before me on our first day of break and made waffles...ALL BY HIMSELF. Awesome. I miss having babies sometimes, but I've got to say, I am loving having big kids!

We went to the Amazeum with Addison and Rylee on Sunday. We are quite spoiled with having this great kids museum so close to us.

Seriously, sometimes I can't get over how cute he is with his glasses.

We've already been swimming a few times. The Dunn's have a pool in their backyard, so I'm sure we'll be spending a lot of time there this summer!!

Cousin time

Like I said, we had Katie and Jake and the kids here this weekend. It was such a fun and busy weekend. Our kids are getting spoiled by having their cousins here so often, and WE LOVE IT!

Joe and Jake and their dad spent most of the weekend working on our new house, so it was pretty much Katie and I solo with the kids. We had a blast.

Joey and Silas just love each other.

We spent a lot of time watching Joey play baseball. Katie was a trooper bringing all of her kids with me to cheer Joey on. And he loved having everyone there to cheer him on.

Norah showed Naomi how to do a selfie.

My kids pretty much fought over who got to hold Eve the entire weekend.

Katie and I got all the kids up and dressed and to church... ON TIME!

Joey loved holding Eve too, but he took his job of playing with Silas and being his buddy pretty seriously. :)

Happy 8th to Kylah!

It's hard to believe my Kylah Sue is EIGHT years old!

But time keeps flying, and she is. She is blossoming into such a sweet girl who loves fiercely and loves to have her mommy and daddy around. We are proud of all her accomplishments in school and in sports, and also her love for Jesus.

We had a fun park party for her birthday.

There were a million little kids there, and it was a blast.

 

It was also very special because her cousins from Kansas were there to celebrate with her too!

 

We had quite the game of wiffle ball going on!

baby Geano

 At the beginning of May I got to go to Tony and Gina's house to meet my new nephew, Geano.

3 days away from my own responsibilities and lots of baby cuddles...it was a lot of work! :)

He was a sweet little cuddle bug. Such a happy baby!

I also got to spend time with Mia. She warmed up to me pretty quickly, and then we were good friends! What a doll!

Can't wait until October to see them again!

April

I haven't been good about blogging in April...
I'm going to do the whole month of April in one post so I can try to get caught up. :)

The first weekend in April we started by cheering on Meredith and Dave as they ran our Bentonville Half Marathon. This is the race I had trained for and gotten up to 9 miles in and then couldn't run anymore due to injury. It was very frustrating! Which is odd...I never before in my life would have thought I would enjoy running and how I felt while training. I am trying to get all healed up to (maybe) train for another one.

We had our annual girls' weekend in April. As always we had a great time relaxing, playing games, getting massages, sitting in the hot tub, talking... It was awesome. This will be our last girls' trip with Christine for a while since she is moving to Africa, but we'll still FaceTime her in with us! :)

 My friend Tricia had a sweet baby boy in April. We had a fun shower for her. And now that little Stone is here, I love "stealing" him and getting lots of snuggles!

 

We have been busy with softball and baseball. We all love it!
Norah cracks me up because she can go from being a princess to being a fierce tball player... 

At the end of April, Kylah and I participated in the Walk for the Cure to support my nurse Maragaret who is battling her second round of breast cancer. (I had to only do the mile walk because of my bum leg...)

Doesn't Kylah make a beautiful walking buddy?!

Joey looks so handsome in his glasses. I don't usually buy spring school pictures, but I couldn't resist this one...

We had a few glimpses of nice warm spring weather. We took every advantage we could. The kids love playing out front. The rice bin that my mom gave to Norah has been a big hit with everyone.
